Happy 233rd Marines...SEMPER FI!!!

I just posted a pic of Batts' 2007 CrossBones on the Bikes page...that is ONE SICK RIDE my friends. I am definitely jealous and glad to have his scooter on the site. We should also have some news on a new Prospect sometime soon...I'll be sure to update you all on that when the time comes.

Please take some time to remember all our brothers that went before us and all those that are currently in harm's way and away from home. We are truly the tightest band of brothers the world has ever seen and always will be. Semper Fi brothers.

Growing pains everyone. Just patched two of new Prospects. Bootcut and Bodyguard are now Patch Holders in the Marines MC - CONGRATS BROTHERS! Thumper and his lady came up from DC for the festivities. Bootcut got patched up in Syracuse and Bodyguard got patched down in Grand Central Station in good old NYC. Welcome aboard brothers...I know you will wear our colors proud.

Damn...it's been WAY too long since I updated the site. So...here's the latest:

LadyAce37, Jedd and I met down in D.C for this years Rolling Thunder. Jedd brought Prospect "BootCut" with him. We had the honor of hooking up with Mick and Gunny from the Missouri Chapter...thy rode all the way out in two days and spent teh weekend before heading back. We of course hooked up with Thumper from the D.C. Chapter. LadyAce headed down on Friday, Jedd and Prospect BootCut trailered down Saturday morning from Syracuse and I rode down early Saturday morning as well. I got a little delayed in some traffic on 495 but by noon we were all there at the hotel. We hooked up with Thumper, Mick, Gunny and a few other Marines and headed down to Thunder Alley. If you've never been - it's MUCH less crowded on Saturday than it is on Sunday. We hung around, checked out the vendors and then headed back to the hotel to get checked in. After some much-needed showers, we headed into D.C. to meet up with Thumper and Co. at "Marty's"...soon to be the Official D.C. Chapter H.Q. We ate, drank, hung around with the Jagermeister girls and basically took over the block...as would be expected. After several hours of that, those of us staying in Crystal City headed back and made our way to a local bar and continued to drink and hang around. The next morning we headed down to Quantico in formation to check out the MArine Corps Museum. This was my first time and I hadn't been back to Quantico in quite some time so it was very special to me. All I can say is I was in awe and very moved to take in the museum. You really need an entire day to check everything out. From there, we headed back up the line in our attempt to make it back to Thunder Alley. I say attempt because the parade was going on and as expected...it took us a long time to work our way through all the traffic and find somewhere reasonable to park our bikes. We finally did and made the walk to Thunder Alley and checked out the bikes roaring by. We hooked up with Thumper again and were introduced to his Prospect, "Doc Holiday". We took some time and swore him in as an official Prospect behind a helo they had on display...that was pretty cool. From there...I had to make the long walk back to my bike to hit the road. I needed to be back in NY by 9 PM for work purposes. The ride back for me was nice and I was home by 8:30. I ended up doing 800 miles altogether Saturday and Sunday. Any time I get to log some miles like that it's a good thing. So - Sunday after I left the gang made it to the wall where Jedd played the harp given to him by a fallen brother's family. I really wish I could have been there for that. They checked out the Korean War Memorial as well and later on spent another enjoyable evening at Marty's in D.C. The next day everyone headed home and I'm happy to say all made in back safely. I'd like to personally say it was an honor to meet and spend time with Thumper, Mick and Gunny. You all are outstanding Marines and I'm proud to call you brothers. Welcome aboard Prospects and stay tuned for pictures. I have a TON of them to sort through, name and resize before I can post them but trust me...they're coming.

Yeah...it's been a while since we updated the site but here we are. I'm happy to report that we patched our newest chapter member this past weekend at Jedd's place up in Tully, NY. Congrats and welcome aboard to Batts! We're all happy and proud to have him in our ranks and to call him our brother. We also appointed members of our various billets, as follows:

Jedd - Chapter Vice President

Log16 - Road Captain

B-Man - Executive Officer

Batts - Sergeant at Arms

Vivienne - Official Chapter Mascot

LadyAce37, Batts, myself and Halo (my wife Jen) headed up to Jedd's Saturday morning and caught on and off rain the whole way up...but we made it safe and sound. We hooked up with Jedd at the NY State Welcome Center on I-81 North and made our way to his place about 65 miles up the line. The rain and cooler weather was soon forgotten upon arrival at Jedd's compound where HellFish (Jedd's wife Patti) was hard at work preparing some of the best chicken wings and chili we've ever tasted...not to mention plenty of cold beer. After getting some hot chow in our bellies, we took care of patching Batts and then discussed items from the National meeting at Winter Park. From there it was 15 miles down the road to our hotel rooms to get checked in and some hot showers. Jedd picked up up later and we all headed up to Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse, NY to celebrate and more good food and drinks. Back to our respective hotel rooms and to bed...waking up at 7 AM to ride 50 miles south to Binghamton for some breakfast, after which we said our goodbyes to Jedd and HellFish. The skies were clear for our ride home and we made great time. It was a great ride and we had an awesome time together. Batts is a solid addition to our chapter and we're looking forward to growing even more in the near future. I hope to start posting pics of the trip tomorrow.

Wow...it's been a long time since I updated the site. With the new baby and all (our second) it's been a bit hectic. So...LadyAce, Jedd and Prospect Rob headed down to Rolling Thunder 2007 and hooked up with Thumper (HMFIC D.C./Maryland) and the RUN FOR THE WALL contingent for a few days. They checked out the new Marine Corps Museum and had an AWESOME time...I'm jealous I was not able to make it but next year is a definite. Thumper - we'll need to plan a few get-togethers before the season is up...you're right down the road.

I'm working on posting the pics Jedd took and hope to have them up ASAP.

Happy Holidays everyone. While we're spending time with our families - let's remember all of those brave Warriors who are overseas and away from home who can't be with their loved ones. Let's also take a moment to remember all those who have died in the service of our great country.

Ride safe and be well.

First and foremost – MANY thanks to Greg Rapaport of Splinterhead Productions for lending his talents and artistic skills to this project.

I posted a few pics from our ride to York, PA this past September. We had an awesome time and look forward to more of the same in the future.

We’ll be adding more and more content as time goes by so stop by often and drop us a line when you have a chance.
